Eight U.S. states filed a lawsuit against OpenAI on Wednesday, alleging that its ChatGPT chatbot is an unsafe product that harms children and deceives parents. Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird revealed in a press release that Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, West Virginia, Arkansas, Arizona, Idaho, and Montana have each filed separate lawsuits against OpenAI in their respective state courts.
