Tencent’s AI agent platform, Yuanqi, has officially declared that it will terminate its services on November 9, 2026. From October 29 onwards, the platform will no longer permit the creation of new agents or the distribution of API keys. Users will have until January 9, 2027, to export their relevant data. Officials advise users to transition to the Tencent Cloud Agent Development Platform or leverage the intelligent reply feature available on WeChat Official Accounts. Previously, Tencent’s QClaw team also announced that its product would cease operations on December 24, 2026, and halt services such as new user registrations. Users will have the option to migrate their data to Tencent WorkBuddy. The successive shutdowns of these two AI products suggest that Tencent is recalibrating its agent product strategy and consolidating related business resources. Currently, the AI agent sector is shifting from a phase of product exploration to practical applications, with clarifying product positioning and establishing sustainable user demand and business models emerging as pivotal factors in platform competition.
