On Saturday, Kim Yong-bum, the Policy Secretary to the South Korean President, disclosed that during President Lee Jae-myung's official visit to the United States, major South Korean conglomerates and global tech behemoths, including Nvidia, inked cooperation pacts worth a staggering $950 billion during high-stakes meetings. The details of the agreement are as follows:

  • The SK Group is set to supply high-performance semiconductors valued at $750 billion.
  • Both parties will join forces to construct an AI data center boasting a total capacity of 5 gigawatts, which will accommodate 2 million GPUs.
  • Naver will team up with Nvidia and Brookfield Corp. to establish a global AI factory with an investment of $10 billion.
The meetings were graced by the presence of leaders from Samsung and SK Group, as well as top executives from OpenAI and Nvidia.
