On July 24, AI chip company Cerebras announced a collaboration with AMD to jointly develop artificial intelligence inference solutions. According to the agreement, Cerebras's wafer-scale chips will be integrated into AMD's Helios rack-level AI systems, forming a single inference workflow. Helios will handle high-throughput tasks, while Cerebras's chips will provide ultra-low-latency memory-intensive token generation capabilities. The system will be deployed in Cerebras's own data centers later this year and offer commercial services to other AI companies through Cerebras Cloud. Boosted by the news of the collaboration, Cerebras's stock price rose by approximately 5% that day.
