XPENG’s humanoid robot has initiated small-batch trial production at its Guangzhou manufacturing facility. Concurrently, the mass production line has entered the final phase of joint debugging, signaling the imminent commencement of large-scale manufacturing. Previously, XPENG Group convened an internal rally to mobilize efforts for robot mass production, setting an ambitious target to achieve volume production of humanoid robots by 2026. It is anticipated that from 2027 onwards, these robots will be progressively deployed in XPENG stores and commercial venues worldwide, offering services such as shopping guidance and product explanations.
XPENG’s robotics division leverages the Group’s strengths in hardware development, AI large-scale models, supply chain management, and marketing. It systematically applies the insights and expertise garnered from the automotive sector—spanning collaborative software and hardware R&D, intelligent manufacturing, and global channel expansion—to the realm of robotics. This strategic integration is propelling the accelerated mass production and commercialization of cutting-edge humanoid robots.
