Microsoft has expanded its long-term strategic partnership with AMD, with plans to deploy AMD's next-generation artificial intelligence chips and processors on its Azure cloud platform, including the Helios rack-level AI platform. This platform integrates AMD's Instinct MI455X graphics processors, sixth-generation EPYC Venice central processing units, and more. Shipments are expected to begin in the second half of 2026 to customers such as Microsoft, providing computational support for Microsoft's own AI services and cutting-edge model inference workloads for Azure customers.
