Notably, it achieves results comparable to leading U.S. models—but at a significantly lower cost. Kimi K3 stands out with 2.8 trillion parameters, marking it as the world’s first open-source model to approach the 3 trillion parameter threshold. It features native support for visual understanding, a context window capable of processing up to 1 million tokens, and is optimized for handling complex task scenarios. Additionally, its API pricing model is highly flexible, with input costs as low as 2 yuan per million tokens (when cache hits)—a substantial reduction compared to existing solutions.
