On July 20, 2026, Elon Musk's xAI (formerly SpaceXAI) announced the introduction of Grok as a free plugin for Microsoft 365, supporting Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. In Excel, users can select a data range and inquire about data changes, reasons, and highlights using natural language. Grok will respond by referencing specific data cells and can directly generate and insert charts. Additionally, Grok can handle formula syntax, perform routine operations such as average calculation, sorting, and filling, and support extracting contextual information from emails, SharePoint, or Google Drive via connectors to assist in data analysis. The plugin is now available on the Microsoft Marketplace, offering users a smarter and more efficient data processing and document editing experience.
