On July 15, CITIC Securities released a research report highlighting that the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from July 17 to 20. The event will feature 112 forums dedicated to the AI sector, constituting 64% of the total forums, with tracks on AI-driven intelligent computing and embodied intelligence drawing participation from over 200 companies. The conference will spotlight four key areas: First, companies like Bireme are set to unveil new computing power chip products, with expectations of accelerating their commercialization; Second, the introduction of super nodes boasting tens to hundreds of thousands of cards will position China’s system-level computing power among the global elite, fostering advancements in cloud-based training and other scenarios; Third, the steady integration of AI into end-user devices and applications; Fourth, the exhibition of technologies related to large models and other foundational AI infrastructure.
