On July 14, Xiaomi unveiled new progress in its humanoid robot's 'internship' at an auto factory. After four months of iteration, the success rate of Xiaomi's robot in bilateral operations at the self-tapping nut installation station increased from 90.2% to 98%, just 1 percentage point lower than the qualification rate of manual operations. Meanwhile, the robot has also unlocked two new roles: sorting the side cover plates of the central console and folding and recycling material boxes, with task success rates both reaching 90%. Notably, the scenario at the side cover plate sorting station for the central console marks the first time long-duration continuous operation of flexible workpieces has been achieved in an auto factory.
