On July 8, during the 2026 China Internet Conference, Academician Wu Hequan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering expressed his viewpoint that while large models have indeed heralded the advent of the AI era, agents are pivotal in overcoming their limitations in precision. He forecasted that by 2030, the share of conversational Token traffic within China would decline from approximately half in 2025 to just 12%. In contrast, the proportion of traffic generated by agents and agent services is expected to surge to 75%.
