On June 22, 2026, U.S. geothermal company Fervo Energy, NVIDIA, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) announced a joint effort to develop EGS-Twin, a next-generation digital twin platform for Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS). Combining high-resolution field data, physical simulation modeling, and AI predictive technologies, the platform aims to provide real-time insights into subsurface reservoir behavior and operational performance, with deployment expected by 2029.
