Haitong International has expressed the view that the market might be overlooking Tencent Holdings' strategic positioning in the AI landscape, especially concerning its focus on agent-based engineering and the utilization of agent-queried data to expedite the refinement of the Hunyuan model. The firm continues to uphold its 'Outperform' recommendation for Tencent, with the target price set at HK$688, remaining unaltered. The report highlights that Tencent's Workbuddy has emerged as the most frequently accessed programming tool in China, with monthly visits soaring to 8.85 million in March, surpassing the second-ranked product by more than twofold. In terms of daily active users, it ranks among the top agent-based tools in the nation. Moreover, Tencent's recent investment in DeepSeek is seen by Haitong International as a move that will further bolster Tencent's standing in the AI sector.
