Salesforce Inc. has reached an agreement to acquire Fin, a developer of AI customer service agents, for approximately $3.6 billion. Fin's flagship product, AI Agent, is capable of handling customer inquiries across multiple channels and will complement Salesforce's AI agent tool, Agentforce. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce's fiscal year 2027. Artificial intelligence is at the core of Salesforce's growth strategy, and the company is actively promoting Agentforce to handle tasks such as customer service. Although the tool has secured 29,000 deals, reports have indicated a gap between its actual capabilities and marketing claims. In pre-market trading in New York, Salesforce's stock rose by 1.1%.
