It has been reported that Ant Group has discreetly issued a select few test invitation codes for the AI-powered iteration of Alipay, marking a significant revamp of its original user interface. Should these reports hold true, Alipay's AI version could potentially emerge as the inaugural AI super app boasting a staggering user base of one billion. However, the official launch date remains shrouded in uncertainty, and Ant Group's representatives have declined to offer any comments on the matter. In parallel developments, WeChat's AI assistant has transitioned into the beta testing stage, formally granting developers entry into the WeChat AI ecosystem. Developers are required to proactively grant access permissions within the 'Mini Program Management Backend - AI Capabilities' section. Upon successful evaluation and approval by the platform, their services can be integrated with WeChat AI, although, at present, end-users are yet to have the opportunity to experience it firsthand. Furthermore, Tencent is also in the midst of testing a prototype AI Agent seamlessly embedded within WeChat, capable of autonomously invoking millions of mini programs within the WeChat ecosystem to accomplish a diverse array of tasks.
