Apple's recently launched Apple Intelligence system has revamped Siri with a hybrid AI architecture. This allows for collaborative task processing between on-device and private cloud computing, striking a balance between efficiency and privacy protection. The system incorporates Google's Gemini technology to bolster its foundational model and provides open interfaces for integrating third-party models, thereby constructing an AI ecosystem platform. Siri AI has undergone three key enhancements: screen awareness empowers it to recognize image content and take actions accordingly; personal context understanding enables it to parse emails, calendars, and other data; and cross-app task execution allows it to link multiple applications to fulfill complex commands. The system also ventures into areas such as photo editing, writing assistance, and browser management. The Photos app now boasts intelligent object removal and image expansion capabilities, while system-wide writing tools support text refinement and style mimicry. However, these advanced features are subject to hardware and regional limitations. They require iPhone 15 Pro or later models, or devices equipped with M-series chips. Initially, these features will only be available in English-speaking regions. Mainland China and the EU are still excluded due to regulatory hurdles. Apple is considering subscription models to recoup R&D expenses, with iCloud+ users set to receive higher usage quotas. In the future, premium AI services could be offered through Apple One bundles, with subscription fees potentially hitting $19.95 per month.
