On June 12, 2026, Huawei introduced its innovative Harmony AI-assisted R&D tools, DevEco Code and DevEco CLI, at the Developer Conference. DevEco Code, an intelligent programming assistant, encompasses the complete development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and design, through code generation and testing, to ongoing maintenance. It allows for the integration of custom models to boost the precision of code generation. DevEco CLI, a command-line interface tailored for Harmony development, is compatible with mainstream programming assistants, offering comprehensive toolsets and knowledge resources, along with an intuitive mechanism for invoking these assistants. Together, these tools are designed to minimize R&D expenses within the Harmony ecosystem, amplify the volume and caliber of applications, and foster ecosystem growth.
