On Thursday, the Canadian government unveiled a national strategy dubbed "AI for All". This initiative will see the creation of a CAD 500 million technology growth fund, with direct investments funneled into local outstanding AI enterprises via sovereign wealth funds. Furthermore, Canada has ambitions to construct a cutting-edge public AI supercomputer and is set to encourage government priority purchases of locally produced AI products. The overarching goal of this strategy is to spur an additional CAD 200 billion in economic output and generate 250,000 jobs related to AI within the next five years.
