The Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, together with the Chengdu Municipal Government, has issued the Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a National Advanced Manufacturing Base. This document puts forward a strategic plan to bolster the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI). It sets forth the goal of expediting the creation of high-quality datasets, propelling the research, development, and commercialization of intelligent chips and industry-specific large-scale models, and fostering the widespread adoption of AI across diverse sectors. Simultaneously, it encourages the integration of next-generation intelligent terminals and agents across all industries, driving the intelligence transformation of all industrial elements, nurturing innovative business forms and models, and cultivating enterprises that are inherently AI-driven. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of accelerating the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing National Core Node and the Tianfu Data Center Cluster, elevating the level of intelligent and digital transformation within industrial enterprises, and establishing smart factories and intelligent supply chains.
