Foxconn, a key player in Apple's supply chain, recently fell victim to a cyberattack at its Wisconsin, USA, facility. A substantial volume of internal data was exfiltrated by the ransomware gang known as 'Nitrogen.' This group asserted that it had pilfered roughly 8 terabytes of data, encompassing more than 11 million files. The stolen data included source code, project documentation, and design blueprints from renowned companies such as Nvidia, Google, Microsoft, and Broadcom. The attackers explicitly vowed to disclose this information to several of Foxconn's prominent clients. As of now, Apple's pertinent technical materials have not been directly compromised.
