At the 2026 Android Show / I/O Edition event, Google unveiled the Gemini Intelligence systemic solution, centering on task automation. This solution is versatile, not only facilitating in-app task processing but also empowering web operations through the Chrome browser, including form-filling tasks. Google underscored that automation operates within well-defined limits, functioning solely within apps authorized by users and executing tasks explicitly directed by them.
Moreover, Gemini Intelligence introduces innovative tools such as "Create My Widget" and Gboard's Rambler mode. In terms of computing power distribution, Google employs a hybrid approach that combines on-device and cloud processing. Simple requests are processed locally on the device, while more complex demands are offloaded to the cloud.
For automotive systems, models integrated with Android Auto will also support Gemini Intelligence. Google intends to roll out functional updates in stages. The auto-browsing feature for Chrome is set to launch starting in June, while Google Pixel and select Samsung Galaxy phones will receive these capabilities in batches beginning this summer.
