Microsoft has embarked on a process of phasing out the Copilot brand within the Windows 11 ecosystem, with the initial modifications focusing on Notepad and the Snipping Tool. In the most recent iteration of Notepad, the Copilot emblem previously situated in the top-right corner of the interface has been substituted with a pen-shaped symbol, now identified as 'Writing Tools'. This alteration solely pertains to the branding logo, leaving the application's core functionalities intact. Users retain the option to manually deactivate this feature if desired. The Snipping Tool, on the other hand, has undergone a more comprehensive overhaul, with all AI-related elements being completely excised from the application, ensuring that the standard version is devoid of any AI remnants.
