Liu Liu and Qi Ge, a couple who boasted of earning a staggering 2 million yuan per year by leveraging AI to craft content for their WeChat Official Account, recently found their account, 'Bao Le Me AI,' suspended by WeChat authorities. The suspension, which also encompassed the account's mini-program, took effect on April 1, after WeChat determined that the account was involved in non-human, automated content generation.
It has come to light that a substantial portion of their purported 2 million yuan annual revenue stemmed from collecting 299-yuan deposits. In response to the rising use of AI in content creation, WeChat has recently rolled out stringent new guidelines. These rules explicitly forbid Official Accounts and Service Accounts from employing automated techniques to supplant human-generated content.
The shutdown of the 'Bao Le Me AI' account stands as a prime example of the platform's commitment to clamping down on violations related to AI-generated content. This move serves as a stark warning to self-media practitioners, urging them to adhere to regulatory standards in their operations.
