Recently, there has been a surge in AI-related copyright infringement cases, notably the unauthorized utilization of voices and images. In a recent revelation, it was disclosed that several AI-generated short dramas on a particular platform had employed deepfake technology to superimpose Jackson Yee’s face onto characters. Jackson Yee’s studio clarified that he had neither participated in the aforementioned dramas nor granted permission for the AI synthesis of his likeness. Consequently, the producers and disseminators of these dramas have violated his rights. The studio has engaged legal counsel to safeguard Jackson Yee’s interests, demanding the immediate removal and cessation of the dissemination of the infringing content by the relevant parties, and will pursue legal action against them.
