WeChat has officially rolled out the ClawBot plugin with the release of iOS WeChat version 8.0.70. Following the update, users can activate the plugin by navigating to [Me] > [Settings] > [Plugins]. To enable remote command transmission, users need to bind a local instance of OpenClaw by scanning a designated QR code. Currently, this plugin is exclusively compatible with iOS WeChat version 8.0.70 and is designed for mobile use only. It is not available on the PC version, nor has it been optimized for Android or HarmonyOS platforms.
The plugin functions as a communication bridge between WeChat and local OpenClaw instances. It does not incorporate AI capabilities on its own and is limited to point-to-point private chat interactions. Group chat functionality is not supported, and the rendering of Markdown formatting is still under development.
