Drawing on its core strengths in a super supply chain and a wide range of real-world business scenarios, JD.com is set to create the world’s largest and most comprehensive center for embodied intelligence data collection. The center aims to amass over 10 million hours of high-quality data within two years, propelling the embodied intelligence industry into a new era powered by real-world data. In addition, JD.com will collect 5 million hours of video data from real human-interaction scenarios within the first year, exceeding 10 million hours within two years. Simultaneously, it will gather 1 million hours of robot ontology data (Note: “ontology” is retained here for technical precision, though it may be interpreted as proprietary or in-house robot data depending on context). The overarching goal is to position JD.com as the world’s foremost provider of embodied intelligence data and to tackle the industry-wide challenge of data scarcity.
