On March 16, Sun Dong, the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, made a statement at an event. He mentioned that although OpenClaw, an open-source AI agent, offers AI-assisted applications, it could potentially bring about security issues. These include problems like granting excessive permissions, data leakage, and system intrusion. Considering these possible risks, the Hong Kong Digital Policy Office has issued a reminder to government departments, advising them against installing the OpenClaw application on computers that are connected to the government network at this current stage.
