On March 10, 2026, ABB's Robotics business division announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to integrate the NVIDIA Omniverse library into ABB's RobotStudio programming and simulation suite, aiming to narrow the gap between virtual simulation and actual factory operation for industrial robots. By incorporating details such as lighting, shadows, and material textures, ABB has made the robot training environment more closely resemble real-world scenarios. The new RobotStudio HyperReality technology platform is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2026, and is expected to reduce manufacturers' costs by up to 40% and shorten product time-to-market by 50%.
