In the recently published 'Android App Ecosystem Security Report,' Google highlighted that, due to continuous investments in proactive security measures and artificial intelligence technology, there was a notable decline in 2025 in the number of offenders trying to disseminate malicious apps through Google Play. According to the report's data, Google effectively prevented 1.75 million non-compliant apps from being published in 2025. This figure marks a decrease from 2.36 million in 2024 and 2.28 million in 2023, signifying a reduction in the overall security risks on the platform.
