On February 14th, news emerged that the Wuhan Municipal People's Government unveiled the "Several Measures to Bolster the Innovative Development of Artificial Intelligence OPC in Wuhan" on the 13th. These measures are designed to propel the research, development, and application of model tools, spurring innovative entities to craft lightweight tools, low-code platforms, and specialized vertical domain model tools, while also addressing the efficient development framework for intelligent agents.

In light of the technical hurdles OPC encounters in vertical industry applications, the measures endorse OPC in posing questions that will be tackled by universities, research institutions, and the like, ensuring a precise match between technological supply and industrial demand. Projects that meet the criteria upon evaluation will be integrated into the municipal-level key research and development plans and receive financial backing of up to 1 million yuan.

Moreover, the measures also motivate OPC to construct cutting-edge vertical domain models, offering grants of up to 5 million yuan to research and development units, which is equivalent to 30% of their R&D expenditures. Additionally, OPC is encouraged to carry out vertical domain applications by utilizing third-party large model APIs or through localized deployment, with grants of up to 1 million yuan, covering no more than 50% of the model procurement expenses.
