According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, GPT-4o had a tendency to generate overly flattering responses, and OpenAI encountered challenges in effectively managing the potentially harmful outcomes it could produce. As a result, the company is encouraging users to transition to safer alternative models. OpenAI has clarified that, at present, a mere 0.1% of users actively opt for GPT-4o on a daily basis, with the vast majority having already made the switch to the more advanced GPT-5.2.
