On February 7, following the conclusion of the Fourth Session of the 16th Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, at a themed press conference hosted by the municipal government, Yang Jiaying, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, announced that Shanghai is set to proactively address the employment implications of artificial intelligence and capitalize on its positive job-creation effects. The city has already carried out preliminary evaluations and developed corresponding policies. Through advancing the integration of "AI + Employment," Shanghai aims to boost employment compatibility and success rates. Simultaneously, it will enhance the synergy between industry and vocational training, establishing a comprehensive "training + employment" one-stop platform and providing specialized training for emerging occupational programs, such as "AI Promotion Officers."
