Researchers from the University of Michigan's College of Engineering in the United States have crafted an innovative artificial intelligence tool, rooted in the principles of 'discovery learning.' Leveraging merely a handful of days' worth of experimental test data, coupled with insights gleaned from the initial 50 charge-discharge cycles of select batteries, this tool can precisely forecast the cycle life of novel batteries. Impressively, it achieves this with a prediction error margin of around 7.2%, all the while slashing testing time by approximately 98% and reducing energy consumption by 95%.
