The Office of the People's Government of Pudong New Area has unveiled a strategic blueprint. This plan is designed to foster enhanced collaboration between edge-side artificial intelligence (AI) model firms and terminal enterprises, with the aim of developing advanced embodied intelligent algorithm models. These models will encompass end-to-end, multimodal, and spatial intelligence capabilities. Additionally, the plan encourages large model companies to forge deeper partnerships with integrated circuit firms, thereby intensifying research and development efforts in high-performance AI chips. It also champions the integration of AI into biomedical companies, promoting the utilization of large models in various stages such as target discovery, compound screening, and clinical trials. Looking ahead, the plan envisions that by 2027, Pudong New Area will be home to over 800 vertical large model application companies within the AI sector, boasting an industrial scale of 65 billion yuan. By 2030, the ambitious 'double thousand' goal will be achieved, with over 1,000 enterprises gathered and an industrial scale surpassing 100 billion yuan.
