The Office of the People's Government of Pudong New Area has unveiled a strategic plan. This plan zeroes in on the cutting-edge sectors of artificial intelligence, with the ambition to make breakthroughs in key technologies, roll out high-end products and widely-used applications, and establish a world-class artificial intelligence industrial cluster along with a vertical application innovation hub. As per the plan, by 2027, Pudong New Area aims to attract over 800 vertical large-model AI application enterprises. It also plans to nurture 3 to 5 industry benchmarks, complete over 100 large-model filings, create more than 30 demonstration application scenarios, and achieve an industrial scale of RMB 65 billion. Looking further ahead, by 2030, the objective is to draw in over 1,000 enterprises, with the industrial scale surpassing RMB 100 billion. The plan also envisions creating replicable and scalable benchmark application scenarios and transforming Zhangjiang into a future town characterized by innovation, quality, and a smart ecological environment, thereby luring global AI innovation and entrepreneurship talents.
