At the 7th Hainan Island International Film Festival, the China premiere of 'Avatar 3' took place, drawing the attendance of director James Cameron and the film's leading actress, Zoe Saldana. During the Director's Masterclass, Cameron shared his perspectives on artificial intelligence (AI). While he expressed support for technological innovation, he emphasized that AI is incapable of replacing human creativity. Cameron argued that the most outstanding films of the year are all imbued with the unique emotions and expressions of their creators. He suggested that AI would find it challenging to produce works that are both highly creative and novel. Earlier, Cameron had also stated that although he does not entirely dismiss AI, the 'Avatar' series will refrain from using the technology in order to honor the contributions of the actors. He further believes that Hollywood will implement self-regulation in this regard.
