According to a report from CCTV News, on November 29, the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, in collaboration with the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, jointly issued the White Paper on Beijing’s AI Industry (2025). The document states that in the first half of 2025, the scale of Beijing’s core AI industry reached 215.22 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 25.3%. The annual output value is projected to exceed 450 billion yuan. Home to over 2,500 AI enterprises, Beijing has also registered 183 large-scale AI models, maintaining its leading position nationwide. Universities, research institutes, new R&D entities, and key enterprises in the city have made multiple original breakthroughs, with the paths to commercialization gradually becoming more defined. The white paper further analyzes future development trends, indicating that Beijing will persist in its efforts to establish itself as the premier city for artificial intelligence.
