On November 24, six departments, including the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, jointly unveiled the "Several Measures to Foster High-Quality Growth in Beijing's Medical Device Sector." These measures emphasize the need to expedite the widespread adoption and application of AI-assisted diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. They encourage healthcare institutions to consult existing pricing frameworks for AI medical services and to integrate new AI-assisted diagnostic and therapeutic technologies into their practices. For innovative initiatives not yet addressed by national project guidelines, healthcare institutions are encouraged to launch pilot projects on a "conditional inclusion" basis, as long as clinical effectiveness is guaranteed. Furthermore, initiatives aimed at promoting and applying AI-assisted diagnostic and therapeutic products will be selected, with financial backing covering up to 30% of the project's investment, capped at a maximum of 50 million yuan.
