A photonic quantum, commonly referred to as a photon, serves as the fundamental particle responsible for transmitting electromagnetic interactions and embodies the smallest quantifiable unit of light energy. On the 24th, China inaugurated its first photonic quantum computer manufacturing plant in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, officially embarking on a phase of small-scale production. Spanning approximately 5,000 square meters, the facility seamlessly integrates research and development, manufacturing, and testing capabilities. Its primary objective is to facilitate the engineering, standardization, and mass production of photonic quantum computers. This significant milestone signifies China's transition from laboratory-based research to practical production line applications within the realm of quantum computing.
