Sources with inside knowledge reveal that AI upstart Moonshot AI is on the cusp of finalizing a new round of US dollar financing. Post-financing, the company's valuation is projected to soar to roughly US$4 billion, with the financing amount potentially running into several hundred million US dollars. Presently, Moonshot AI is engaged in talks with a number of global investors, such as IDG Capital. Notably, existing shareholder Tencent is also among the list of potential investors. Moonshot AI has set its sights on wrapping up this financing round by year-end and is eyeing an IPO for the latter half of next year. When approached for comment on this development, Moonshot AI and IDG remained tight-lipped, while Tencent chose not to offer any remarks. Moonshot AI has carved out a reputation for its prowess in long-text analysis and enjoys the backing of numerous high-profile supporters. Last August, the company successfully secured over US$300 million in Series B funding.
