Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., widely known as Foxconn, has announced an ambitious initial investment plan, allocating between USD 1 billion and USD 5 billion to bolster its manufacturing footprint in the United States. This strategic move is primarily geared towards fulfilling the burgeoning artificial intelligence (AI) hardware demands of industry leaders NVIDIA and OpenAI. Under this partnership, the two entities will jointly engage in the design of cutting-edge server racks. Moreover, Foxconn is set to take charge of manufacturing essential equipment for data centers across the United States, with a projected capacity to assemble up to 2,000 server racks weekly by the year 2026, marking a significant leap in production scale and technological advancement.
