On November 18, 2025, a significant strategic partnership was unveiled by Microsoft, NVIDIA, and AI firm Anthropic. The three prominent AI models from Anthropic, namely Claude Sonnet 4.5, Haiku 4.5, and Opus 4.1, have now officially entered the public beta - testing phase on Microsoft Foundry. Azure clients are now empowered to construct enterprise - level production applications and intelligent agents via the Foundry platform, fully harnessing the AI strengths embedded within Microsoft's ecosystem.
As a key aspect of this collaborative effort, Microsoft and NVIDIA are set to invest $5 billion and $10 billion respectively in Anthropic. In a reciprocal move, Anthropic has pledged to acquire computing resources from Azure worth $30 billion. Moreover, it has inked agreements to secure computing capacity of up to 1 gigawatt.
