Australian AI company Firmus announced on Friday that it will raise 500 million Australian dollars (approximately US$324.9 million) in a new round of funding to accelerate the progress of its AI infrastructure initiative, Project Southgate. As a potential IPO candidate, Firmus's funding round was supported by U.S. chip giant NVIDIA and domestic fund management company Ellerston Capital. It is reported that this is Firmus's second funding round in two months, and both investors have participated in several of its earlier funding rounds.
