On Friday, Samsung Electronics revealed that it is in the midst of intensive negotiations with the American tech giant Nvidia. The focus of these discussions is on the supply of next-generation High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) chips, with an overarching goal of strengthening their partnership in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Earlier, Nvidia had made public its plans to provide its cutting-edge Blackwell Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to South Korean enterprises, with Samsung being one of the recipients. This significant piece of news emerged unexpectedly during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit, which took place in Gyeongju, a city situated 275 kilometers southeast of Seoul.
