According to individuals with inside knowledge of the situation, NVIDIA is gearing up to make an investment of up to $1 billion in the AI firm Poolside. This proposed deal would see Poolside's valuation soar to four times what it was last year. At present, Poolside is in the process of raising $2 billion, with its valuation set at $12 billion (this figure does not include the funds it is currently raising).
One of these insiders mentioned that NVIDIA is set to invest a minimum of $500 million in this current funding round. Moreover, NVIDIA's investment has the potential to climb up to $1 billion, provided that Poolside manages to hit its fundraising goal. It's worth noting that NVIDIA's investment plans had not been disclosed to the public before now.
