In the current landscape of artificial intelligence, OpenAI stands out as a highly prominent company, with Microsoft as its largest investor. Nevertheless, the partnership between the two entities has encountered numerous hurdles. This evening, both parties announced that they have reached (replaced the incorrect "achieve") a new agreement. Under this pact, Microsoft will be granted the rights to utilize OpenAI's AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) models.
Previously, Microsoft had made a substantial investment of up to $13.7 billion in OpenAI. Following extensive negotiations, the two sides have inked a fresh agreement. As per this new deal, Microsoft will acquire a 27% stake in OpenAI. OpenAI is currently valued at approximately $135 billion, which is roughly equivalent to RMB 1 trillion.
