Recently, OpenAI made an announcement stating that, commencing November 4, it will provide a one-year complimentary ChatGPT Go service to all Indian users. This initiative is timed to coincide with OpenAI's inaugural DevDay Exchange event, which took place in Bangalore. Introduced in India in August of this year, ChatGPT Go empowers users to harness sophisticated features, including elevated message limits facilitated by the GPT-5 model. Current subscribers are also invited to partake in this complimentary offer. India, as the second-largest and swiftly expanding market for ChatGPT, holds significant importance, aligning with OpenAI's dedication to a 'India-first' approach. This resonates harmoniously with the Indian government's vision to foster AI development. OpenAI is also engaging in collaborations with diverse entities to propel the widespread adoption (corrected from "popularize") and innovation of AI technology. Concurrently, OpenAI is formulating plans to establish an office in New Delhi. In parallel, Anthropic has declared the opening of a new office in Bangalore, while Airtel has introduced a complimentary Perplexity Pro plan. Together, these efforts are collectively driving the popularization of AI technology.
