The General Office of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government has unveiled the Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Development of Novel Construction Approaches and Fostering New Quality Productive Forces in Chongqing's Housing and Urban-Rural Development Sector. This plan delineates specific development objectives: By the close of 2025, it aims to deepen the reform of the new technology promotion mechanism within the housing and urban-rural development realm, broaden the application scenarios for construction robots, and so on. It also envisions the execution of over 50 pilot projects focused on intelligent construction. Furthermore, it sets a target for prefabricated buildings to constitute 40% and star-rated green buildings to make up 30% of all newly constructed buildings. Moving forward to the end of 2027, the plan outlines the establishment of over five industrial incubation and innovation platforms in the housing and urban-rural development sector. It also anticipates the widespread adoption of over 50 new technologies and the creation of more than three 'AI + Construction' application scenarios. By the dawn of 2030, the vision is to establish a cluster of intelligent construction industrial parks, nurture over 10 competitive industries in the housing and urban-rural development sector across the Southwest region, and foster over 20 leading enterprises in novel construction methods. The ultimate goal is for the modern construction industry to achieve an output value of RMB 600 billion.
