As per Google's official announcement, its AI - powered image editing model, Nano Banana (officially dubbed Gemini 2.5 Flash Image), has made its way onto Google's search service. Now, users can swiftly process images via the Lens feature and AI mode within the Google app. This move significantly lowers the threshold for creative production. Since its launch in August this year, the model has already churned out over 5 billion images. The expansion is geared towards enabling users to more effortlessly tap into advanced image generation and creation capabilities within frequently - used services. Through the visual recognition tool in the mobile app, users can either capture or upload images. Then, by entering the newly introduced 'Creation Mode', they can rapidly generate new versions of images with the aid of AI. This functionality is accessible on both Android and iOS platforms. Moreover, the model now backs the visual display of video content in smart note - taking tools. It offers six fresh visual options and can automatically generate illustrations that are contextually relevant based on user input. Google also has plans to introduce this image model to its photo management service in the upcoming weeks.
