On September 24, at the 10th Snapdragon Summit, Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm, presented his core insights and a strategic roadmap for the future evolution of artificial intelligence (AI). Amon introduced the innovative concept of "AI as the New User Interface (UI)," proposing that future interactive interfaces will possess a profound understanding of user intentions and facilitate seamless cross-device collaboration. He forecasted that by 2028, the commercialization of 6G technology will emerge as a vital infrastructure for the realization of an AI agent ecosystem. The 6G network, he explained, will transcend its role as a mere communication channel, evolving into an intelligent neural network with environmental sensing capabilities. Additionally, Amon outlined six major trends that will define the future landscape of AI. These include a transition from smartphone-centric AI to AI agent-centric systems, encompassing a wide array of scenarios such as smartphones, automobiles, and wearable devices.
